Every time my mother comes to visit, she immediately begins cleaning and reorganizing the house in the time-honored tradition of moms worldwide. I’d be offended if it weren’t so blatantly evident that I truly (and need) require assistance. My mother once looked inside our refrigerator and screamed, “Your fridge needs to be cleaned!” while she was in the midst of tidying up. The fact that it is packed of bottles means that there is no place for anything! “Does it really make sense to have all of these things in here?” I told her that this was the case.

Not only that, but there are a range of distinct alcoholic beverages that perform best when stored in the refrigerator.

Spirits such as whiskey, rum, gin, vodka, and other alcoholic beverages do not require refrigeration since their high alcohol concentration ensures that they retain their quality.

So whatdoesneed to be refrigerated?

  • Vermouth, to put it another way, is the most prevalent item in my refrigerator! Vermouth, whether sweet, dry, or blanc, is created from a base of wine that has been infused with wormwood and other herbs, and then fortified with a small amount of high-proof alcoholic alcohol.
