How to Store Moonshine in a Moonshine Jar

With a traditional moonshine jar, you can store your moonshine in the proper manner. Moonshine has evolved from the days of the early American pioneers to become a vital element of American culture. More than a century later, the practice of making moonshine is still in existence. Moonshining appears to be on the upswing, as seen by the abundance of moonshine recipes and how-to manuals accessible online. More and more individuals are becoming aware of the fact that they may simply create their own alcoholic beverages with the aid of a few simple components.

When it comes to creating moonshine, there is a precise procedure that must be followed, and a moonshine jar is an essential component.

It Helps Keep the Taste In

The most common material used to construct a moonshine jar is glass. When you manufacture moonshine, it is critical that you preserve it for a period of time, which can range from a few days to many weeks, depending on the technique you choose. It is important to store the shine in a glass moonshine jar to ensure that the flavor develops correctly and remains consistent.

You Can Tell When It Has Aged

The advantage of utilizing a glass jar is that you can see the contents of what is being stored on the inside. Whether it comes to moonshine, it is critical to recognize when it has “aged” properly and is ready to be drunk. The use of a glass jar allows you to accomplish exactly that while also seeing the subtle change in color of the moonshine as it “ages.” Moonshine does not genuinely mature; nonetheless, it is held for a period of time to let the flavor to develop correctly; however, the storage duration is far less than that of wine.

Develops a Better Taste

The thing with moonshine jars is that they are manufactured expressly for the purpose of making moonshine. As a result, they are designed with the storage and development of flavor in mind for the greatest moonshine. Storing moonshine in an appropriate container, such as a moonshine jar, will help to guarantee that its flavor is developed in the proper manner.

Keeps the Moonshine Secure

With a moonshine jar, you may securely keep the moonshine at either a cold or room temperature for several months. With a plastic bottle, however, this may not be the case. The jar guarantees that the moonshine remains how it should be, without turning bad or anything else going wrong with the batch.

It Looks Much Cooler

Whenever you think of moonshine, you automatically think of a mason jar. The two are inextricably linked. When you drink moonshine from a mason jar, it simply appears a little more appealing. Not only does it keep the moonshine fresh, but the jar also gives it the “genuine” moonshine feel that you would receive if you were drinking moonshine during the Prohibition time.

Quality Moonshine Ages Better

If you are new to the process of manufacturing moonshine, you will quickly discover that there are several strategies and methods to experiment with. Until you have gained the necessary knowledge and expertise, you will be unable to create the perfect alcoholic beverages. Moonshine that is of good grade will last longer than low-quality spirits since these items are correctly distilled and contain high alcohol concentrations. If a low-quality moonshine is kept for more than a year, the flavor and scent will quickly deteriorate and become unrecognizable.

In order to make the best moonshine possible, one that will hold its flavor for decades to come, it is necessary to invest in a high-quality moonshine-making kit. Using a quality kit lets you to have far more control over your brewing and to consistently produce the correct mix.

The Best Moonshine Still Kit To Buy

You may consider upgrading to a better moonshine still kit if you notice that your moonshine isn’t keeping well in your current still. The Blue Ridge 5-Gallon Stainless Steel Stovetop Moonshine Still Kitis an excellent still for home use. This moonshine kit includes everything you’ll need to start distilling your own whiskey at home right out of the box. The kit comes with a fermentation barrel, a distillation tower, a water pump, and a variety of other equipment as well as instructions. It is possible to use this moonshine kit on any type of burner, which makes it an excellent choice for home moonshine making.

How to Store Moonshine in A Jar

Moonshine is considered to be one of the most potent alcoholic beverages. It is not subject to expiration or spoilage, and many feel that as long as the fluid is contained in an appropriate jar and stored under adequate circumstances, it should be able to endure eternally. In order to be able to preserve your moonshine in a jar, you must first bottle it in a high-quality jar.

How Do You Bottle Moonshine In A Jar?

A succession of clean, sanitized jars will be required in order to bottle moonshine in a jar successfully. When the moonshine has completely cooled down, you can simply pour it into the jar and seal it. Moonshine has a very high alcohol content, and the high alcohol content will destroy any germs that may have accumulated in the jar throughout the fermentation process. This implies that you will not need to sanitize or boil your jars before keeping moonshine in them in the future. Simply pour your moonshine into the clean jars and tightly seal them, and your product is finished and ready to be stored.

The Right Way to Store Moonshine

Moonshine can be stored for years if kept in the proper conditions. If your spirits are exposed to heat, light, or air changes, the characteristics of your spirits can change. It is not recommended to keep an open jar of moonshine for an extended period of time because the taste may change after a while. Store your moonshine in a dark room that doesn’t see too many temperature variations. Your kitchen pantry or even food cabinets are excellent places to keep your moonshine for as long as you’d like to keep it.

How To Store Moonshine Safely

If you don’t want to consume your entire batch of moonshine immediately after it’s been distilled, you’ll need to preserve it correctly so that you may enjoy it later. As long as you brewed the moonshine correctly, it will keep for several years in a dark place. A batch of white lightning that has been poorly stored, on the other hand, may spoil or deteriorate, leaving you with a wasted batch of white lightning. Continue reading if you want to learn more about how to securely preserve your moonshine.

Plastic vs Glass

People believe that moonshine will burn through plastic because of its high alcohol level, therefore they store it in glass jars instead of plastic. The reality is, however, that moonshine will not burn through plastic containers. In order to endure strong chemicals, plastic materials are intended to be resistant to them, and they can even tolerate hydrofluoric acid. As a result, if you pour moonshine into a plastic bottle or jug, you won’t have to worry about it burning a hole in the bottom of the container.

While moonshine will not burn a hole in a plastic container, an open flame will most definitely do so. In the event that you want to keep your moonshine in plastic bottles or containers, make certain that they are kept in a cool environment where there are no open fires or heat sources nearby.

Stick With Glass For Long-Term Storage

It is possible that storing moonshine in plastic containers for an extended period of time will cause the flavor to alter. When moonshine is stored in a plastic container, it may have a vinyl-like smell and scent, which you may detect. You should use glass containers for long-term preservation of moonshine if you are serious about making it and want to make the greatest beverage possible. It is safer, more heat resistant, and a superior all-around choice when compared to other materials such as plastic.

Avoid Sunlight

Another important piece of advice for keeping moonshine is to keep it away from direct sunlight whenever possible. Sunlight will pierce through any container, glass or plastic, and actually cook the contents within. This is true whether your moonshine is stored in a glass or plastic container. As a result, the moonshine spoils at a higher rate than it would otherwise. Avoid this by storing your moonshine in a dark, cold place with little or no exposure to the sun. Properly preserving your moonshine will keep the flavor and alcohol level of your whiskey intact.

everclear – Mason Jars and Mixing Bowls

Mason jars are a household favorite. Everyone. And they’re springing up all over the place right now! Now, because I’m one of the most passionate mason jar enthusiasts in the country, when people see anything they like about jars, they email it to me. “Moonshine” in mason jars is a popular gift that I’ve received a lot of. Apple pie, blackberry pie, cherry pie, and so on. Since they are made and marketed legally in the United States, under the supervision of the ATF, we can all rest certain that they are not truly moonshine.

  1. As a result, we arrive to this conclusion.
  2. The majority of what I saw stated that it contained 1 gallon of apple juice, 1 gallon of cider, different aromatics, and a bottle of Everclear, among other things.
  3. You will end up with a product that is 9.7 percent alcohol by volume (19 proof).
  4. That would not be acceptable.
  5. I’m about to embark on a 12-day Mule Deer hunt in a forest where the temperature drops far below freezing every night.
  6. Either by ingestion or by ignition, to be precise.
  7. It’s not a White Zinfandel, either.

As a result, I decided to design my own.

1-750mL bottle of Everclear 190 strength grain alcohol (optional).

12 an Apple (variety your choice) Cook over medium heat until the brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and nutmegs (I’m still not sure what to call them) are dissolved.

I mean, who needs measuring cups, do they?

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

There are two reasons for this.

If you cooked the cider and Everclear together for 20 minutes, you’d get hard cider, not moonshine, as a result.

At 190 proof, this stuff is essentially pure alcoholic beverage.

So keep the booze out on the counter and the cider simmering on the stovetop until needed.

Using a canning funnel and ladle to prepare the sauce.

However, I adore mason jars, so that’s where it’ll be stored.) Take one cinnamon stick and one nutmeg and place them in a quart-sized mason jar with a lid.

Try to fill each jar with a pint of the cider mixture after that.

Remember to place your mason jars on a towel or a wooden cutting board to prevent them from rolling around.

Allow the mixture to cool for at least another 20 minutes.

Then pour in the Everclear, dividing it evenly between the two quarts of water.

The sound of that sentence doesn’t sit well with me.

Honeycrisp apples were used because they are the undisputed champions of the apple world.

So, before you put that lid back on, let’s talk a little bit about science.

All you did was pour the Everclear into the boiling jar of cider.

What exactly is going to happen?

This means that alcohol is converting to vapor, and that vapor is beginning to take up physical space in the atmosphere.

The Big Badda Boom.

But I’m not saying that in a negative way.

So, if you don’t have the luxury of waiting for whatever reason, you can take the following steps.

Pour the contents of your jars into the sink.

Then, as you continue to allow the water to slowly drain from the sink, turn your faucet from warm to cool, then from cool to cold.

If you make the transition too quickly, your jars will shatter and break.

I like to label my jars so that the kids don’t think they’re getting a snack instead of a treat.

2 pints of juice and cider are equal to 32 ounces of liquid.

When everything is added up, it comes to 57 ounces.

43.86 percent or 88 Proof.

This stuff only gets better with time.

No bacteria can grow in this high of an alcohol content.

I plan on using this to Irish up my hot apple cider around the campfire, as well as keeping a flask on me for those dusk and dawn hunting hikes up north. If you have a shine recipe feel free to share or link it in the comments. Happy canning!

Apple Pie Moonshine

A few weeks ago, I heard about this amazing beverage that sounded so fantastic that I simply had to give it a try. And wow, am I happy I did! Everything you love about apple pie is included into this dish, making it great for a chilly winter evening! Some of the jars will be given as presents, but I will make sure to retain some for myself. I hope you enjoy it! Due to the fact that I did not have a large enough pot to produce a complete batch, I modified the original recipe to fit my limited cooking space.

Because there is no sophisticated distillation involved, it is a rather simple recipe to prepare.

Step 1: Supplies and Ingredients

It is necessary to have an 8-quart stainless steel pot, a big wooden spoon for stirring, six canning jars with lids (make sure the lids are free of rust), a measuring cup, and a plastic funnel on hand; the funnel was useful but not strictly necessary in this recipe. The elements required are as follows: 96 ounces of Apple Cider Apple juice (64 ounces) 750 mL flavored whipped cream Vodka (optional). 6 cinnamon sticks (optional) 1 cup granulated sugar (optional) 1 cup granulated sugar

Step 2: Mix Ingredients

Apple cider and apple juice should be added to the saucepan. Add the white sugar and brown sugar and stir until well combined. Make a thorough stir.

Step 3: Heat on Stove

Bring the liquid to a boil while continually stirring. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring regularly, after which bring the heat down to low and continue to cook for another 15 minutes. Allow for approximately 2 hours of cooling time for the combination.

Step 4: Add Alcohol

Pour the entire bottle of vodka into the apple juice mixture until it is completely dissolved. well-stirred

Step 5: Pour Into Canning Jars

Pour the liquid into six quart-size canning jars that have been sterilized and set aside. Insert a cinnamon stick into each of the jars. Remove any remaining juice from the jars by wiping the tops with a moist cloth. Tighten the lids on the jars using a screwdriver.

Step 6: Finished Product

I know a few folks who would be thrilled to get one of these jars of Apple Pie Moonshine as a Christmas present. This formula is not as potent as some others on the market. The majority of these demand for the addition of Everclear to the Vodka in the recipe. Please remember to drink responsibly, regardless of how you get there.

Then I un-dug a wooden box in our basement and filled it with 20 mason jars of shine (our cellar had been flooded with every hard storm for months, and sand / silt had accumulated to a depth of three feet). It looked to have been produced during the Prohibition era, and much of it was still edible at the time. I go through a fifth of ‘ever-clear’ (which is 190 proof) every couple of weeks, and it can be kept pretty much anyplace without freezing. When you take the top off, you’ll notice that a metal screen has been placed to the bottle to act as a flame arrester.

  • When it comes to storing shine, I would not be concerned because a tightly fitting lid is all that is required.
  • I have a hydrometer that is designed particularly for measuring alcohol concentrations ranging from 20 percent to 100 percent.
  • Understanding the ‘proofing’ approach makes determining whether or not your shine is up to ‘proof’ simple.
  • Before a beverage becomes flammable, it must contain at least 50 percent alcohol.
  • Keep in mind that depending on where the flame originated, you may not always be able to see it.
  • I’ve seen men lose their beards after drinking something that was on fire, but they didn’t realize they were drinking anything on fire.
  • Some people report that it is dehydrating.

“Why do sailors prefer to drink so much,” I was asked last weekend, and I have an excellent answer for you.

Does apple pie moonshine have to be refrigerated???

Page 1 of 41234Next page of text

  1. I just finished making 10 quarts of the lovely thing and discovered I had no idea how it was meant to be preserved! The recipe that I used was as follows: MOONSHINE WITH APPLE PIE 1 gallon of apple cider with spices 1 gallon of freshly squeezed apple juice 8-10 cinnamon sticks (about) sugar (granulated): 1 1/2 cup 1 1/2 cup light brown sugar 750 mL bottle of grain alcohol with a proof of 190 To make the soup, combine all of the ingredients (excluding the alcohol) in a big stockpot and bring to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Add the alcohol once the mixture has been allowed to cool fully. Fill sterilized mason jars with the mixture. The apple pie has been baked and is ready for eating! Warm or cold, it is a versatile dish.
  • I’m really pleased I came on this since I have a gallon of 190 that I’ve been storing for just such an occasion. It has always been refrigerated in my experience, just to be clear. Obviously, I’m thinking out loud here, but wouldn’t it be better if you added the booze when the mixture was still hot on the burner and then filled your jars, making it “canned” and hence excellent for a long time?
  • You’d think so, however the recipe specifies that the mixture must be thoroughly cooled before the alcohol is added and the jars are sealed. The lids are lowered as if they are sealed, but they are not. I really don’t know. As a result, I was hoping someone on this forum might have an explanation
  • I’ve been making it for nearly three years now, but with a slightly different recipe, but it’s still delicious. I’ve never put it in the refrigerated, and it’s kept fresh for a long time
  • But, doing so will cause a significant amount of the alcohol to evaporate
  • This is not recommended.
  1. I keep mine in the refrigerator just because I prefer it cold when I drink it
  2. If that’s all you’ve got, that’s OK. You haven’t made it right yet
  3. Ummmmm. I’m not sure what you’re referring to with the second part
  4. Yes. Inevitably, the apple cider will mold
  5. Thanks! The fact that it doesn’t appear to be an issue is a bonus. I was concerned about it taking up valuable refrigerator room when it comes to blackpowder season (we need a place to store the deboned meat while we prepare it for canning or freezing), but the jars are vanishing at an alarming rate! lol
  6. I keep mine in the refrigerator since I prefer it cool as well, but I’ve had it in a cupboard for a long time with no problems
  7. I’m assuming he means that if it doesn’t include moonshine, it isn’t apple pie moonshine. Good moonshine is obviously not synonymous with the 190 proof stuff you can buy at the liquor shop, according to many people who have tasted it. I’m only assuming because mine isn’t from a store and I don’t believe it’s moonshine either. My guess is that it’s white dog, which comes from a nearby distillery. According to my memory, it’s around 130-140 proof. I’ve never attempted to make the apple pie. I’d been looking forward to a fantastic recipe. I’ve tried a few different kinds and only found one or two that I truly enjoyed. You said the others were too sweet or had too much cinnamon
  8. If I had one, I’d be happy to assist you. Check out the forums at a lot of useful information on the page

Is This Real Moonshine? What Is Moonshine?

This isn’t the illicit moonshine manufactured in bathtubs that you’re used to seeing on the news. High-proof distilled alcohol made “under the radar” is referred to as moonshine in slang. The term comes from the fact that it was generally created late at night in order to avoid being discovered by authorities. It’s really been allowed in the United States since 2010, and its definition is straightforward: it’s whiskey that hasn’t been matured. This recipe does not call for genuine moonshine, but rather Everclear, which is simpler to get by and has the same proof range as true moonshine.

How do I Make Apple Pie Moonshine?

Making apple pie moonshine is a cinch, and the results are delicious. And because it produces so much, it will last you for quite some time.

  1. Begin by heating our cider, juice, sugar, and spices to a near-boiling temperature in a large pot
  2. Allow about an hour of simmering at a low temperature
  3. Bring the temperature down to a simmer
  4. Allow the mixture to cool fully before using it. In a large mason jar or other airtight container, combine the ingredients and keep in the refrigerator.

Even though you can drain out the spices, I recommend keeping at least one stick of cinnamon in each mason jar for added flavor and aroma. If you like, you may omit the cinnamon and instead use around 12 cup of Fireball to give the dish a strong cinnamon flavor.

What Can I Use Instead of Everclear?

If you don’t have access toEverclearor any 190 proof grain alcohol, you may use any other high proof grain alcohol you can locate to make this recipe. There are even higher proof vodkas available that you may experiment with. Brands such as Smirnoff have even gone so far as to market higher proof versions of their vodka.

What Does Apple Pie Moonshine Taste Like?

In contrast to most recipes for apple pie moonshine, ours creates a smaller amount and uses predominantly apple cider instead of a 50/50 blend of cider and apple juice. As a result, it has a stronger apple flavor and is thicker in texture than usual. Because of all of the spices we utilize, it has a flavor that is similar to apple pie in a glass. Because we’re using Everclear, a little vodka, and a little spiced rum, it’s also rather potent in terms of alcohol content. Fortunately, the longer the apple pie moonshine is allowed to rest, the less alcohol it contains.

This moonshine is delicious shortly after it’s created, but it becomes much better while it rests in the bottle.

You will understand why it is such a popular holiday dish!

How Long Does Flavored Moonshine Last?

It all depends on how you choose to preserve your apple pie moonshine, of course. It should keep for 3 – 4 months at the back of your refrigerator if stored in an airtight container. If you correctly seal your jars in your mason jars, they can survive for up to three years in storage. Moonshine jars that have been properly sealed do not need to be kept in the refrigerated until they are ready to be used.

Some folks even keep their moonshine in the freezer to keep it fresh. It can endure between 2 and 3 years at that location. As a result, I like to give away a few little mason jars of moonshine to neighbors and friends, so that the moonshine doesn’t survive more than a few months at my house!

  • Grain alcohol with a proof of 190 can be difficult to come by.
  • If you can’t locate it, you can easily substitute a lesser proof vodka or moonshine (151 proof grain alcohol is considerably simpler to get by) that you can purchase from a liquor shop instead.
  • Apple Pie Moonshine is without a doubt the greatest Apple Pie Moonshine recipe you will ever taste.

It’s important to remember to let it rest and mellow. If you try to drink this moonshine too soon, it will feel like you’re ingesting rocket fuel. I’m thinking this is what rocket fuel would taste like, because I’ve never had it before. It’s something I’ve never really tried.

Moonshine is a high proof grain alcohol that is created at home and is not aged, with a level of around 190 proof. The process of making moonshine from scratch, beginning with a corn mash and continuing through distillation, is time-consuming and illegal without a license. No need to go through this time-consuming process (with unclear outcomes) when we can legally purchase 190 proof grain alcohol instead. A high proof alcohol serves as the foundation for aged and flavored liquors such as whiskey and vodka, among other things.

After the alcohol and blackberries have been infusing for three weeks, you’ll produce a simple syrup to add to the mixture and combine everything together. Ingredients for Simple Syrup: Directions:

  1. Bring the water to a boil, then add the sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, then set aside to cool to room temperature. Cinnamon Apple Moonshine

With this Cinnamon Apple Moonshine, you can take your apple juice to a whole new level of sophistication. To be sure, this alcoholic beverage is not the same as your children’s apple juice! It packs a punch, but it also serves to keep you warm on those chilly winter evenings! If you’re looking for something a little more alcoholic, try myVodka Lemonade orMojito Sangria instead.

Cinnamon Apple Moonshine

Moonshine has been around for generations, but it truly gained popularity in the 18th century when people began creating their own moonshine in order to avoid paying the federal liquor tax on distilled spirits. Fortunately, moonshine is still available and it is not illegal to consume. There’s no need to go to a speakeasy to enjoy an alcoholic beverage when you can manufacture one at home! And, you may do it at any time of day; you don’t have to wait till the middle of the night under the light of the moon unless you really want to!

How to Make Cinnamon Apple Moonshine

Whether you name it moonshine, white lightning, homemade liquor, or shiney, whatever you choose to call it, it has survived the test of time for a good reason. You don’t need much of it, or else you won’t be able to stand for very long! Then again, sometimes a cold night (or day–we’re not judging here) calls for something to keep you warm! It takes a little patience to produce Cinnamon Apple Moonshine, but once you do, you will have enough to last you for quite some time, and it is actually quite simple!

  • In a large saucepan, add all of the non-alcoholic components, including the apple juice, apple cider, both sugars, cinnamon, and apple pie spice. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes. Because I like to use McCormick Ground Cinnamon instead of cinnamon sticks, you will note that there are no cinnamon sticks in the actual recipe. It’s nice to have the cinnamon sticks around for decoration. Bring the ingredients to a low boil, then decrease the heat to a low setting and allow it to simmer for around an hour. Allow the mixture to cool fully before adding the all-important alcohol after it has simmered for a while. Ensure that the temperature is 150°F or below before adding the alcohol (if you want to be precise). After you’ve mixed in the vodka and Everclear, pour the mixture into your containers to refrigerate. If you are unable to locate Everclear 190, you can substitute Everclear 151 or the highest proof vodka that you can locate instead. (This will result in an increase in the amount of vodka.)

When to Serve Moonshine

We were a bit taken aback by how delicious it tasted the same day it is prepared. However, and this is something I highly suggest, allowing the jars to cool for 2-3 weeks before drinking results in an absolutely delicious drink.

The longer it is allowed to sit, the better. The fact that you just have to prepare it once and enjoy it for up to a year (depending on how much you drink!) is one of the reasons why this batch is so enormous.

How to Store your Cinnamon Apple Moonshine

Most moonshine is served in mason jars, as I am sure you are aware. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, using a glass jar for storing the Cinnamon Apple Moonshine has several advantages. Here are some of them: For starters, using a glass jar can aid in the development of the moonshine flavor. This is critical since you will most likely want to keep some for a long period of time. It does not have to be a mason jar, but it does have to be a jar that can be closed securely. Second, unlike a plastic container, a glass will prevent your moonshine from becoming bad before it is consumed.

I prefer to use mason jars since it gives me the option of canning the food if I don’t have enough room in my refrigerator.

How to Can Moonshine

In the event that you are canning, be certain that your jars have been properly sterilized before adding the moonshine. Fill your jars halfway with moonshine, being sure to leave at least 1/2 inch of space at the top. Using a clean cloth, wipe the jar’s rim free of any residue. Place the canning lids on top of the jars. Attach the outer ring by screwing it on. Immerse the jars in boiling water for 10-20 minutes, depending on how big they are. After 24 hours, take the jars from the water and set them aside on a counter lined with a towel to dry completely.

Here’s a nice tutorial on canning that I found: Canning in a Water Bath Always be certain that you are following all of the USDA’s safety rules when you are canning anything edible.

On January 2, 2020, the United States government reviewed the document. Stainless Wide Mouth – Flap – Stainless Purchase that has been verified I purchased two Mason Jar Pour Spouts – Stainless Wide With Flap – to use with my Mason Jars. Everything – and I mean everything – that would allow me to drip oil from a wide mouth mason jar came to me. You’d think it would be simple, however it appears that oil pour spouts are only available for jars with a conventional mouth opening. Even in the product’s question and answer part, it is stated that a wide mouth option would be available in the future.

Although the spout is intended for liquids, it performs admirably with oil.

I had resigned myself to the possibility of having to purchase a product that was imported, but when I saw that this product was manufactured in the United States, I chose to acquire a pair of ordinary lids and a set of widemouth lids, both of which had flaps.

According to some of the reviews, the lids do leak while you are pouring liquids from the bottle.

Initially, I put the rubber rings that came with the lids inside the lids.

Whenever I attempted to pour a drink, there was a significant amount of leaking.

It appeared that there was still some leaking, albeit it was not as noticeable as it had been previously.

When I put the liquid into the container, there was no leaking.

Even when pouring a heavy beverage like egg nog, the pour was excellent since the spout features a flap to keep the aperture closed when not in use.

There are over a dozen different mason jars that I’ve tested them on, and they leak on every single one of them.

Rather than purchasing a new bottle, it is preferable to purchase a plastic coffee spout and reuse an old liquor bottle.

Size: Classic Regular Mouth With Flap, as reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2020.

Produced in the United States, there is no glue to worry about, and the small flapper that holds it closed (I’m not sure why you wouldn’t purchase the one with it) when you aren’t pouring is effective and convenient.

I just open it by flipping it open and then closing it manually.

The liquid is released at a much more leisurely pace.

There aren’t many lids available for wide-mouth jars for a variety of reasons.

Take a look at the pictures to see how little liquid remains in the jar after it has been poured out.

Hope that the gasket inside the lid will not deteriorate too much with use and exposure to the elements.

Ensure a tight seal.

A number of wide-mouth mason jars are in my possession, and I’ve been looking for stainless steel (rather than plastic) lids that will fit them so that I can store fresh cooking oil in them while also washing them in the dishwasher.

I’m delighted that the manufacturer decided to include the wide-mouth version in their product line.

Given my extensive collection of wide-mouth mason jars, I anticipate a plethora of applications for this setup.

After that, I punched a couple of holes in the jar lid so that I could pour it into things like shot glasses more easily.

As a result, I wondered if there was a more expensive, but aesthetically pleasing, way to pour my likker from a jar.

It’s actually quite appealing to me.

The only thing I wish was that the spout was made of glass.

I have one that I use for oil, and it doesn’t work well with something as thick as this.

The other one I use Clorox for, and that one liquids a little smoother and pours out without any leakage than the other one.
