Tailgating Essentials: Awesome Recipes For Moonshine Day

Moonshine was originally a transparent, white whiskey with a distinct flavor. However, during the Prohibition period, the phrase “moonshine” evolved to refer to any alcoholic beverage that was created illegally. Following the repeal of prohibition in 1933, the phrase “hard liquor” became widely used to refer to any alcoholic beverage made without government oversight. The traditional moonshine, on the other hand, has been revived by distillers all throughout the country. Since then, as more and more people realize how delicious moonshine is, the popularity of the beverage has grown exponentially.

Here are a few examples of how you may enjoy moonshine in various ways.

National Moonshine Day

It used to be a clear, white whiskey called moonshine, but that has changed. The phrase “moonshine” was used to refer to any alcoholic beverage manufactured illegally during the Prohibition era. As a result of the repeal of prohibition in 1933, the phrase “hard liquor” became widely used to refer to any alcoholic beverage made without government oversight. On the other hand, distilleries all around the country have begun to produce traditional moonshine once more. Due to increased awareness of the deliciousness of moonshine, the drink has grown in popularity throughout time.

Moonshine can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, as listed below.

Moonshine Mule

  • To make this cocktail, combine 1 part Old Smoky White Lightnin with 2 parts Ginger Beer
  • Top with Angostura bitters and garnish with fresh lime wedges.
  • Combine all of the ingredients
  • In a glass filled with ice, thoroughly mix the ingredients

Combine all of the ingredients. Blend everything together in a glass with ice; serve immediately.

Kentucky Mule

Instead of the traditional Tennessee Moonshine, this Kentucky Mule is a refreshing alternative..

Kentucky Mule

  • Ice
  • 1 – 1.5 shot(s) of clear moonshine or white whiskey
  • 5 oz Ginger Beer
  • The juice of one lime
  • Fill the glass halfway with 4-5 ice cubes. After that, pour in your shot(s) of bourbon. Add the juice of one lime and mix well. Then pour in the cooled ginger beer until the glass is completely filled. Stir
  • Afterwards, garnish with a lime wedge on the side before serving

The Moscow Mule is one of my favorite mixed beverages. However, I enjoy experimenting with different flavors and making a white whiskey variant. The fact that it is National Moonshine Day isn’t enough of an excuse to get together with your buddies for a tailgate party isn’t a problem. The Women’s College World Series begins on June 5th, which falls on the same day. So you can whip up some mules, whip up some delicious munchies, and sit back and watch a baseball game.

After 19 seasons in the major leagues, Baseball Hall of Famer Chipper Jones is now able to relax and enjoy watching games, especially the postseason, with his family and friends. Where can you get Chipper Jones’ Sweet Tea Moonshine?

In addition to being accessible in the downtown Gatlinburg distillery and local liquor stores, it is now available on the internet. After a two-year construction period, Sugarlands Distillery opened its doors in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains in March 2014. Sugarlands Distillery is officially the official moonshine of NASCAR. They make moonshine, whiskey, and liqueurs in a variety of tastes, totaling 29. Their moonshine is available in a variety of flavors, including Maple Bacon, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Butterscotch Gold, and Pina Colada.

To satisfy the needs of those who want to keep things simple, Sugarlands’ award-winning Roaming Man Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey is always available.

“It’s also a fairly exciting opportunity.”

Sugarlands Shine now available at Truist Park

Sugarlands Sports & Entertainment announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Jones’ old employer, the Atlanta Braves, shortly after announcing their connection with Jones. It is planned to open Sugarlands Distilling Company in Chipper’s Corner within Truist Park. There will be an enormous exhibit of Jones’ memorabilia in the cocktail lounge area, which will be placed near third base, where Jones patrolled for 19 seasons. There will also be a vast selection of moonshine, of course. Chipper’s Hot Corner Pub was originally scheduled to debut for the 2020 season, however the opening was postponed due to COVID regulations.

Does Jones Tailgate with Sugarlands Shine too?

Jones, who has been a full-time professional athlete for the whole of his adult life, has confessed that he has never been much of a tailgater. Either he’s been participating in the game, watching the game from a luxurious suite, or staying at home to avoid the throng, depending on his preference. But when LSU faced Oklahoma in the semifinals of the NCAA football playoffs in Atlanta last autumn, Jones had his first genuine experience of high-class tailgating. Jones was invited to an LSU tailgate at Mercedes-Benz Stadium by some Louisiana friends who were attending the game.

  1. “I didn’t care about the tickets to the game; I simply wanted to hang around outside and eat and drink.” I had a great time.
  2. If LSU ever comes back to Athens or to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, you can bet I’ll be there.
  3. Boudin.
  4. Crawfish Etouffee, crawfish dip, and sausage like you’ve never seen before are all available.
  5. Consider experimenting with some of these suggestions in honor of National Moonshine Day.

He’s either been participating in the game or watching it from a luxurious suite, or he’s been staying at home to avoid the throng. Jones, on the other hand, had his first genuine taste of high-end tailgating last autumn, when LSU faced Oklahoma in the semifinals of the NCAA football playoffs in Atlanta. Two pals from Louisiana had invited Jones to an LSU tailgate at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday. LSU will return to Athens or Mercedes-Benz Stadium if the opportunity presents itself. All of their possessions were in their possession. Boudin. Crawfish. Etouffee de Crawfish, crawfish dip, and a sausage selection that will blow your mind. That was fantastic, I’ll tell you.
