4.0 stars out of 5 for this product There are several things you should be aware of before you begin. On September 8, 2021, V. Hunter posted a blog entry. Update on the 17th of October: I’ve learned a great deal in the short time that I’ve owned this computer, so I thought I’d share some additional information with you. For starters, the power consumption of this equipment is just too high if you’re trying to distill alcohol. Machines developed exclusively for spirits are typically rated at 350w, however this one is rated at 800w.

  1. As a result of the advise I received from the forum I described above, I purchased a voltage meter as well as a voltage controller, which I use to both cut down and monitor the wattage.
  2. The process is obviously much more time-consuming, but the end result is quite drinkable.
  3. 7 Energy Saving Display Modes, as well as a Watt Meter In addition, a computer cable is required.
  4. It is necessary to use the computer cord to connect the fan directly to an electrical outlet in order for it to operate independently and at full power.
  5. Then, on the strip run, reduce the power to 550 watts, and on the spirit run, reduce the power to 300 watts.
  6. In my opinion, the most significant issue is that the temperature for distilling alcohol, which is specified at 78°C in the instructions, is far too low.
  7. 88° was the final setting I had to use due to the fact that the TRD setting was inaccurate as well.

Consequently, my recommendation is to put your maximum limit at 85° and then increase it in accordance with your rate of flow (please note that this suggestion was modified in the update above).

You’re looking for a rapid trickle, not a steady stream.

Turbo yeast and liquid carbon are recommended in each recipe, and following more investigation, I discovered that both might cause unpleasant odors (I found this out the hard way).

Check out the forum stillsmarter.co.uk for some pretty helpful tips on how to do things.

The machine is quite simple to operate.

In all honesty, I’m not sure if they are totally required to prevent boil overs, but I believe it is better to be safe than sorry.

They don’t operate on alcohol concentrations more than 50%, and mine came out of the machine at around 65°.

They cost around $20, and I’m not sure how you’d be able to distill without one.

Someone please have a guide or help.ThanksIf you have the model that has a standard computer type power cord running from main body to fan power supply you can purchase a standard computer cord to power the fan and plug the main unit into a variable transformer. This way you have an easy way to lessen the heater wattage and still have the fan run at full throttle. The Variac Transformer model in link below should work fine for the little water distiller. They also sell a 2KVA model that can be used to control the heat from high output hot plates used on bigger stills. To do this turn heat all the way up on the hotplate and adjust output with the Variac so the thermostat does not cycle and cause unstable conditions in the column. “

Absolutely incredible purchase

  • Wow, I’m amazed with how well this product performed once I received my first batch. This machine is quite simple to operate, and the finished output is outstanding. I’ve already begun work on my second batch of cookies. The directions that come with this machine are quite comprehensive, and the results are spectacular if you follow them. Table top still

  • Prepared wash from brown sugar, using the given yest packets to produce 4 gallons. Almost a quarter gallon of 130 proof vodka. Not decent considering I didn’t count the 25ml of heads and stopped when the flavor was still delicious and the blue flame was still visible. This is effective. This is the genuine stuff. A thing of simplicity!

  • This gadget is fantastic. I wanted to give it a thorough test run before writing a review. It has been 3 months and 5 or 6 different recipes since I started. But I’ve got it under control! The machine is sturdy and simple to operate. Highly recommended, especially for anyone looking for a high-quality product that does not require the use of a ridiculous proof machine! You simply sit back and watch as the machine performs all the work. Making brandy, fruit-infused vodkas, kalua, irish cream, cherry brandy and cinnamon-and-peppermint snaps have all been highlights of my culinary endeavors. Purchase has been verified: No

Surprised

  • Initially, I was dubious due to the fact that all of the components were made of stainless steel, but after putting it all together, I can honestly state that it’s not just amazing, but fantastically fantastic, which is saying something coming from me. I don’t normally write reviews, but in this particular circumstance, I’m making an exception. Despite its small size, this machine produces the greatest tasting product I have ever tasted, and its portability and convenience make it incredibly pleasant to use. If there were any more stars available to use in evaluating this product, this machine would receive them all since it is well worth every dollar I spent on it and is the second most intelligent buy I have made after my custom built computer.
