Using a melted wax barrier on the jar, you may add another coat of wax and repeat the process, giving time for the second layer to set and completely seal off the jar.
As previously said, this approach may be most suited for items with a narrower aperture (for example, a soda or drinking bottle), but if done correctly and with sufficient wax, it may also be used with regular canning jars and lids.
A Vacuum Pack Sealing Solution
Another alternative for sealing canning jars without the need to boil them is to utilize vacuum or suction sealing equipment for the process instead of boiling them. You’ll need the following items for this procedure:
- Canning jar made of glass, vacuum pack sealing equipment, sealing equipment (cover), and vacuum pack sealing equipment.
This particular piece of equipment is designed exclusively for sealing lids, mason jars, and other containers for canning applications. Remember that, as previously said, the jars must be fully sterilized before anything can be placed into the cans of food.
