Root Beer Candy Moonshine Recipe
Even though I’ve had a large number of Reed’s Root Beer Candies over the years, I had never heard of Root Beer Moonshine, which is created from Reed’s Root Beer Candies, until a buddy forwarded me this recipe today. I like anything that contains Root Beer or Root Beer flavour, so I knew I wanted to give this a try as soon as I could. My sister has a corner shop and had just bought me a box of Reed’s Root Beer Candy, which is one of my favorite candies, so I was overjoyed when I discovered this recipe and couldn’t wait to try it out.
With Everclear or Moonshine, you may use it in any proof you like; it will be strong in alcohol no matter what proof you use, so it provides an excellent basis for a cocktail; try mixing it with sodas such as Sprite, 7up, Coke, or Gingerale for a refreshing mixed drink.
- For a more tropical flavor, add a splash of pineapple juice.
Ingredients:
- A bag of Reed’s Root Beer Candies
- A bottle of Moonshine or Everclear
- And many Mason jars
Directions:
When my husband and I get home from work, we had to take a small nip of this Root Beer Moonshine to relax on the couch while watching research documentaries, which we find to be really entertaining.
Root Beer Moonshine Recipe
If you enjoy root beer, then we have a recipe for you that you will love, believe us. It’s the stuff that dreams are made of when it comes to our root beer moonshine recipe. Root Beer Moonshine is the adult root beer beverage of your dreams, and this recipe will show you how. It will bring you back to your childhood memories of sipping Dad’s Root Beer on the pier, except this time you will get that sharp alcoholic kick to cap it off. I recently had my first taste of root beer beer, which was a pleasant surprise.
- The experience was incredible, and it got me thinking: why not experiment with transforming my favorite childhood beverage into another type of alcoholic beverage that I can enjoy with my friends on a Friday night?
Instead, root beer extract is used to impart the final horribly sweet flavor to the moonshine.
Put it everything in mason jars with a handwritten label and you’ve got yourself a batch of root beer on the go!
- With the help of a high-quality moonshine kit, you can fine-tune your process to consistently generate the right combination of moonshine.
For an excellent moonshine start package, we offer ourMist 1 Gallon Air Still.
It is roughly the same size as a standard kitchen kettle and is just as simple to operate.
- It is the ideal still for producing moonshine, which is ideal for use in recipes such as this one!
How long does Root Beer Moonshine last?
Given the high sugar and alcohol concentration of this moonshine recipe, it has a shelf life that is virtually indefinite. Moonshine may be kept for up to two years after it has been completed in a firmly closed container (I like mason jars) that has not been opened. Maintain refrigeration for up to six months after the package has been opened. It’s unlikely that you’ll be able to keep your hands off of it! Also, Root Beer Moonshine is a wonderful present for your friends and family members.
Go one step further with a homemade Root Beer Moonshine float!
Gather yourself some traditional vanilla ice cream and place a scoop or two on the rim of a glass filled with moonshine to enjoy. Take a spoon or a straw and savor it throughout the year. Think of it as the ultimate adult alcoholic indulgence.
Root Beer White Russians
- All white russian enthusiasts are invited to attend!
- In this post, I’ll share with you the second drink from the IG storiespoll I conducted a few of weeks ago.
- The first segment was this apple cider crush (OMG, it was delicious), and I am just as enthusiastic about today’s dish as I was about the first.
- Here’s the thing: I’m a sucker for a good white russian.
- I don’t consider them to be trendy or anything, but when I want something creamy, sweet, and, well, wonderful, they are the perfect choice.
It’s a condition that occurs “every now and again.” Without a doubt, it was a delight.
As a result, I present to you root beer white russians!
- Hah.
BUT!
If you ask me, root beer is an underappreciated hero in the world of soda.
- While we didn’t consume a lot of soda as children (and I consume considerably less of it now as an adult), one thing was always certain: my father nearly always had root beer on available to quench our thirst.
Weekends were my father’s time to prepare his specialty for my sisters and me: frozen pizzas and root beer, while my mother was working.
My very first root beer float was so delicious that I can still taste it.
- I had absolutely no idea that something could be both delicious and entertaining at the same time until I tried it.
That’s sort of how I came up with the idea for today’s recipe.
As soon as I do, I’m taken back to my youth, namely to root beer floats.
- That’s when the notion of a white russian came into my thoughts for the first time.
And you know what?
IT WAS EFFECTIVE.
-
The root beer complements the coffee flavor of the Kahlua to an incredible degree.
Who would have thought it?
Thank you very much.
Description

What Are The Best Moonshine Cocktails?
Examine Some of the Best Moonshine Brands
1. Moonshine Caffè Corretto
- High-quality moonshine is frequently compared to Italian grappa in terms of taste and flavor.
- Despite the fact that their fruity nature may manifest itself in a variety of ways, this means that you may take inspiration from its culture to create an amazing pick-me-up!
- Caffè corretto is an old-fashioned manner of drinking grappa, and it simply entails pouring yourself a shot of moonshine into a glass and drinking it with an espresso.
- Every time you take a drink of espresso, you are adding more alcohol to the mix.
– Do not forget to keep the last drop of moonshine for the finish of the night’s festivities.
Alternatively, you may combine the two ingredients to make an ammazzacaffè.
2. Homemade Apple Pie Moonshine
- Why spend money on pre-made apple pie moonshine when you can create it yourself for less money?
- It’s simple, and you’ll appreciate the enhanced flavors that come from utilizing high-quality, all-natural ingredients.
- There are two methods for manufacturing apple pie moonshine, but both require the same ingredients: apple pie filling and rum.
- 50-ounce bottle of apple cider
- 75-ounce bottle of clear moonshine
- 200-gram (7-ounce) sugar
- 5 cinnamon sticks
- 3 cloves
- 2 star anise seeds
- 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons freshly-squeezed orange juice
- 150-ounce bottle of apple cider
To make moonshine, the first way requires you to make a large amount of it. Place all of the moonshine in a 1.5-litre mason jar and keep it aside for later. Bring all of the remaining ingredients to a boil, then reduce the heat to a low setting and let it simmer for an hour, covered. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely. Using a fine mesh strainer, drain the contents of the mason jar after it has reached room temperature. Feel free to increase the amount of cinnamon sticks used.
Even though you may consume it the next day if you so choose, the flavor increases the longer it is allowed to soak.
- Simply reduce the quantities of the components to the required proportions and mix them all (except from the cider) vigorously.
As an alternative to utilizing the full spices in the dish, you may only garnish with a single cinnamon stick and a single star anise.
3. The Last Word
We felt it would be fitting to include at least one pre-Prohibition drink that was most likely served with moonshine in our collection. The Last Word is sometimes disregarded in favor of more well-known concoctions like as the Sidecar or the Tom Collins, which are also excellent choices.
You may substitute moonshine for the gin in this recipe, which will give the flavor a little more punch. It is necessary to have the following ingredients:
- Twenty-four-ounce glass of clear moonshine
- Twenty-four-ounce glass of green chartruse
- Twenty-four-ounce glass of Maraschino Liqueur
- Twenty-four-ounce glass of lime juice
Simply mix the ingredients with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe glass to serve.
4. Moon Dance
- For those who like the sound of The Last Word, you should also check out the Moon Dance, which was composed by the BirdsBees manager, Jake Larowe, while in Los Angeles.
- It has some parallels to other spirits, but it has been carefully developed for moonshine in order to showcase its unique characteristics while adding complexity.
- To prepare it, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 60 milliliters (2 Oz) Moonshine
- 15 mL (12 oz) moonshine Cocchi Americano
- 15 ml (12 oz) Dry Vermouth
- 10 ml (14.4 oz) Green Chartreuse
- 10 ml (14.4 oz) Cointreau
- 10 ml (14.4 oz) Cointreau Orange Peel
- 1 dash Orange Bitters
- Maraschino Liqueur
To make the cocktail, combine all of the ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice and stir until thoroughly cooled before straining into a kid coupe. Using the orange peel, twist it over the glass to allow any oils to fall into the liquid, and then drop it in for garnish.
5. Redneck Royale
A delicious beverage that puts a new spin on the classic shandy, you may make it by mixing fruit-flavored moonshine with lager to give some sweetness to the beer. There are only two components required:
- 30 ml (1 Oz) Flavoured Moonshine
- 350 ml (12 Oz) Lager or Pilsner
- 30 ml (1 Oz) Flavoured Moonshine
- Pour the moonshine into a big glass and fill the rest of the glass with beer to complete the drink.
- A variety of flavorful moonshine may be used to make this cocktail, including blackberry, peach, and even strawberry.
- For more inspiration, have a look at our guide to the greatest moonshine.
6. Moonito
When it comes to refreshing drinks, why not try substituting moonshine for rum to add a little diversity to the standard mojito?
- 45 mL (112 oz) Clear Moonshine
- 120 mL (3.5 oz) Dark Moonshine (4 Oz) a bottle of club soda, ten mint leaves, a lime, and two teaspoons of sugar
Place the mint leaves in a sturdy glass and smash them with half of the lime to release the oils and juices that are contained within. Combine the remaining lime juice and sugar in a mixing bowl until everything is well-combined. After partially filling the glass with broken ice, slowly pour in the moonshine and top it off with club soda. Consider mixing in 45 ml (112 Oz) of fruit-flavored moonshine before adding the clear moonshine to give it a little extra flavor before adding the clear moonshine.
7. Apple Pie Mimosa
- Enjoy this delicious drink recipe, which you can make with either the homemade apple pie moonshine mentioned above or a store-bought version.
- It’s incredibly straightforward and involves minimal effort.
- It does, however, necessitate the following:
- 112 ounces (45 milliliters) An Apple Pie Moonshine cocktail with 60 ml (2 oz) Ginger Ale, 45 ml (112 oz) Orange Juice, and a wedge of apple.
Simply combine all of the ingredients in a tall glass filled with ice and top with an apple slice to serve. Sugarlands Distilling Company is the source of this information.
8. Dirty Moontini
After all, who wouldn’t want an expense account to take care of all of their worries? Root Beer Rum Creams.
Who’s in the mood for a root beer sour? Aside from me, me, me Since the beginning of the year, I’ve created my fair share of mocktails and “healthier” (bahahaha) drinks (see: kombucha everywhere) to celebrate the new year. And I decided it was past time to do something more serious. ROOT BEER, I’m talking about serious! I’ve rambled on for an excruciatingly long time about how I don’t like for carbonated beverages and, as a result, don’t care for any sort of soda – and never have. The occasional diet Coke or something (once a year, maybe?) and the occasional, frequently vacation-related, few sips of root beer are on my list of things to do.
Because I adore the flavor and believe it’s very delicious.
- And what about this sophisticated root beer float?
It’s a lot of pleasure to get a surprise every now and again.
Aaaaah, I’ve also created root beer BBQ sauce in the past!
- I’ve made it at least once every summer since I was a child.
However, every now and again, they are INCREDIBLY delicious.
That is not to say that I ever sit by a fire.
- However, sitting on the sofa and sipping this while watching This Is Us sounds a whole lot better than drinking my tears, which are uncontrollably streaming down my face while watching that episode.
Three, to be exact.
It all starts with rum that has been seasoned with black pepper.

Love a Root Beer Float? Try Adding Booze.
Root Beer Floats are the nostalgic beverages of summer pool parties and sleepovers that bring back childhood memories. Nonetheless, while you may have liked this sweet and creamy favorite as a child, you’ll be pleased to know that the adult version is much more delicious! Using all of your favorite elements from the original—ice cream and root beer in this case—the Boozy Root Beer Float elevates the experience by adding a splash of rum. The end effect is a refreshing respite from a sweltering summer day.
Simply scoop some vanilla ice cream into a glass and top it up with a splash of rum.
- When selecting your rum, go for a barrel-aged version rather than a white rum in the market.
Other spirits, notably bourbon, do an excellent job of strengthening this drink, but when in doubt, rum is the go-to choice for fortification.
- 1cupvanilla ice cream
- 1ounce rum
To finish, add chilled root beer (such as A W or Dad’s Root Beer) to taste.
- In a tall glass, combine the rum and ice cream
- Stir well.
Pour the root beer into the glass in a slow, steady stream until the glass is completely filled, then gently swirl to incorporate.
This recipe has received a rating. This does not sit well with me. It’s hardly the worst case scenario. Yes, this will suffice. I’m a fan, and I’d suggest it. Amazing! It’s fantastic! Thank you for your feedback!
Pirate’s Float Cocktail Recipe
- The Pirate’s Float is a refreshing concoction of ingredients that includes spiced rum, root beer, and cola.
- The finished product has a slight sweetness to it, as well as a good spicy kick.
- This is one of those cocktails that is usually a favorite at parties due to the fact that it is simple to make and tastes fantastic.
- It’s not the type of drink that requires acclimatization or that requires you to be a fan of a certain component in order to enjoy it thoroughly.
- It’s basically the tastes of root beer and cola, with a little sweetness and spice thrown in for good measure.
If you’re serving it at a party, you can actually create a large quantity in a pitcher of spiced rum and root beer schnapps ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
You also don’t have to be very concerned with the accuracy of the measurements.
- Diet Coke or Coke Zero are also acceptable options for this recipe.
And it makes it much more appealing for gatherings.
Take a look at the Jersey Girl, which is made with vanilla vodka and A W Cream Soda, if you like this cocktail.
